Since 1960 skiers have been entertaining the local community with free ski shows at SILVER LAKE PARK and competing in show-ski tournaments. Silver Lake Ski Club has been one of the most successful competitive ski teams in the nation accumulating a number of regional and state championships and placing as high as third in national tournaments. A number of our skiers have gone on to ski professionally and routinely give of their time to build and coach our younger skiers. We invite you to join us at our FREE ski shows throughout the summer and if you're interested in skiing we'd love to have you join our team. Skiing experience is great but we love to teach anyone wishing to ski.

It was in the upper 30's the day Silver Lake Ski Club went Polar skiing, not too bad for Michigan in December. It was chilly but fun for those who dared to get in the water.
