Become a member of Silver Lake Ski Club!
No, you don't need to know how to ski. There are lots of things you can do as part of the team. Competing and putting on shows is a really big job and takes the coordinated efforts of many people! But, if you want to learn how to ski you'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best. Yes, it is a commitment. During the summer months (and even before) there are lots of practices, both on and off the water. We also regularly compete in tournaments that take us out of state. No, you're not too young to join. We have members as young as 4 years old. No, you're not too old to join. We welcome "seasoned" individuals as well! Yes, you'll have the time of your life! We work hard and we play hard. You'll have a lot of fun! | It's easy to become a member of Silver Lake Ski Club. Membership Types and Voting Rights, 2012
· Family Membership is a membership encompassing all members of a single family. For the purposes of definition, a family will be defined as all members of a single household. The SLSC Board of directors reserves the right to interpret this definition to accommodate special circumstances involving, for example, non-married parents, adopted children, children not living at home, etc. A family membership shall be entitled to two votes.
· Individual Skier Membership is a membership in the Club of an individual alone. An individual membership is entitled to full voting rights, as long as he/she is a member in good standing and of the age of 16.
· Junior Membership is a skier or support member under the age of 8.This membership has no voting rights. Parent(s) or Legal Guardian must sign the Club Membership Packet. Parent or other responsible person must be present with the Junior member at all events.
· Collegiate Skier Membership is a skier or support member actively enrolled in sophomore, junior or senior year of college, trade, or vocational programs between the ages of 18 to 24. Membership has full voting rights.
· Junior Team Membership is a skier who is a member of the Junior Team only. This membership has no voting rights. Parent(s) or Legal Guardian must sign the Club Membership Packet. Parent or Legal Guardian must be present with the Junior Team members at all events.
· Individual Support Membership is a non skier who participates in Club activities.(ex:-dock,sound,announcer,boat driver(s), observers, etc.). Membership has full voting rights.
· Lifetime Membership is a nomination by the Board, approved by the membership. A lifetime member is entitled to pay dues at 50% of individual membership if he/she intends to ski or support. Lifetime member shall have voting rights if he/she is a active skier or support member. In all other instances, a Lifetime Member is an honorary club member with no dues or voting rights.
· Tournament Membership is a skier invited into Club to ski at Nationals only. This category of skier is allowed to add to an act but not to replace members in existing acts. Tournament Skiers can be nominated by any member and presented for Board approval. Approved Tournament Skiers will be formally invited, by the Membership Director, to ski with the club. This type of membership has no voting rights.

· Lifetime Membership Dependent on Activity Level
